Here are some of my top tips for a fresh new fragrance….

Floral scents have always been very popular:

Channel No 5 is one of the all time classics and was launched way back in 1921!  It must be good to be going so long.  Floral scents suit the daytime as they are soft rather than overpowering.  RRP for Channel is around £46.00 for 50ml.

Another good floral scent is Gucci Flora which like Channel has the underlying current of Sandalwood through it, RRP £30.00/30ml.

How about Fruity Perfumes? (my personal favourites!)

Ghost Luminous is one of my favourites with bergamot and orange, it is definitely in the fruity corner.  RRP for Ghost Luminous is around £30.00/50ml also.

The classic fruity would have to be Elizabeth Arden’s Blue Grass.  This perfume was Elizabeth Arden’s first fragrance and goes way back to 1935!  They are great for a summer feeling and contains citrus fruits also with bergamot and orange.  RRP for Blue Grass is around £29.00 for 100ml which is great value.

Then we are left with Oriental & Spicy!

Calvin Klein has to be in there somewhere…. Secret Obsession is a fabulous oriental scented perfume with warm undertones and a hint of exotic jasmine.  Secret Obsession RRP is around £60.00/100ml so not the cheapest.

How about Opium for the all time classic in Spicy scents…. By Yves Saint Laurent, this became the signature perfume in the late seventies.  When I was a teenager, everyone was wearing it, even if it didn’t suit them!  It has a unique combination of woody scents with deep spices and floral undertones.  RRP for Opium £50.00/50ml.

If you fancy a new spice scent then Sarah Jessica Parker’s ‘Twilight’ has a very distinctive sandalwood base to it.  RRP £29.50/75ml.

My All Time Favourite : DKNY Be Delicious!  It is clean, fresh & fruity and I love it for everyday wear.  Definitely a great perfume and brings a smile to face every time I catch a whiff!.  RRP £25.00/30ml
